Muscovy ducks reach a market weight between 14 and 16 weeks. This allows the bird to fully mature. Hens weigh an average of 4 pounds and drakes weigh an average of 7.5 pounds. Muscovy's are available year round as a whole bird only. Please contact us for availability and our current pricing guide.
Muscovy duck has a superior flavor and unique taste: it is lean, meaty, tender and flavorful. It is the healthiest duck meat available, it even has less fat and calories per pound than turkey! Muscovy is 99% lean, all dark meat that is never greasy and doesn't have a gamey taste. It is a healthier, more flavorful choice for duck, with up to 40% less fat than its Pekin cousin. It has the highest yield of any duck available and 50% more breast meat than other ducks.
